Doctor's Appointment

In addition to Grandma's birthday, today was mommy's doctor's appointment with Shelli.  Everything went well.  My heartbeat was only in the 120s, but Shelli said it was nothing to worry about.  120 is still in the normal range, although, mommy still didn't think the drop from the ultrasound appointment where I was allegedly sound asleep (when my heartrate should be low) to this appointment is comforting.... But, she will trust Shelli and just pay close attention to my movements.  I do love to move, so that shouldn't be a problem. :)  My external belly measurement showed mommy is measuring at 35 weeks, 2 weeks ahead still....

Mommy is still going to the chiropractor and is feeling much, much better!! YEA!! She can actually function!  She is having issues with her hands and arms going numb, but Shelli says it is a normal pregnancy side affect.  Mommy is also swelling a bit.  Her hands and feet are huge.  She had to take her wedding ring off much earlier than with my sister.  But, the past couple months have been much healthier than over the holidays, so that's a refreshing change! :)

Mommy's next appointment with Shelli will be the week of June 6th.  Ultrasound to follow 2 weeks later.  No exacts date yet, so stay tuned!

32 Week Ultrasound

Today was mommy's follow up ultrasound to check on the partial placenta previa.  At her last appointment the placenta was only 1 cm from her cervix and it needs to be at least 2 cm.  And today we could see that the placenta has fixed itself like Shelli thought it would!!! It is now 8 cm from her cervix!!! Yea!!  This issue will not keep mommy from trying a vaginal birth!  Yea!!  And, while they were doing the ultrasound, they decided to take a peek at me.  Aside from looking absiolutely adorable, my heartrate was in the 140s and I was contently sleeping.  The ultrasound tech wanted to take my measurements (head, belly, legs, arms), in addition to movements and reflexes.  She did everything but stand mommy on her head and I would not move for the tech.  The tech did know I was moving because my arm would be covering my face, she'd scroll to see if my legs would move and by the time she got back to my arm, it was somewhere else.  So, she did get a couple movements, enough that it's nothing to worry about - I must have been sleeping soundly.  Hopefully that's a good sign for what's to come! :)  The tech did get plenty of my other measurements and it appears I am HUGE!  I measured 5.3lbs and in the 90th percentiles for most everything.  I should be measuring at 4lbs.  This puts mommy measuring at 34 weeks, two weeks ahead!!  AHHH!!!  This isn't a bad sign, but Shelli does want to keep an eye on it.  So, mommy will be having another ultrasound in 6 weeks.

Mommy's next doctor's appointment is next week on May 19th.  The follow up ultrasound has not been scheduled yet.

30 Weeks - Can you believe it!?

Mommy is already 30 weeks and look how big I am?! I mean, how big she is!

Chiropractor

So mommy is still struggling with this lower back shooting pain on her left side and needs some relief!  Three months of this just can't be, she can hardly move!  After trying all the tricks and advise everyone has given her to no avail, she has decided to try the one last option, the chiropractor.  She's never been to one before and has her sceptisms, but is willing to open her mind and give it a shot.  Today was her first visit to Dr. Batson.  Her good friend Sean (and Laine) recommend him.  He found a blood clot in Sean's leg and got him to a doctor quick, thank goodness!  Wish her luck, we need a fix and soon!

Another doctor's appointment

Today mommy saw Shelli again. Everything looks great!! My heart rate was at 140. I only kicked the doppler one time, usually I'm kicking and moving everywhere. I must have been asleep... :) Mommy's belly measured at 29". She did her birth plan at this visit too, which is basically drugs and vaginal birth with daddy catching me. Mommy also gain a little too much weight - hey, now she's starting to get back on track! But, don't worry, if she gets back on the pace Shelli wants, she'll still be in the "normal" range. Can that happen? Mommy does so well at gaining way too much weight...

The only issue mommy is having is mommy has started having scaitic nerve pain on her left side. She seems to have trouble doing most anything without any pain. Shelli recommended seeing a chiropractor, some stretches, heat and tylenol - and no picking up my sister. Kayla will never understand that.... Mommy has tried all but the chiropractor and nothing is helping, so she scheduled an appointment for Monday with a chiropractor her friend goes to. Please let this work! She cannot function like this - especially for three more months!

Stay tuned: Mommy's 32 week ultrasound for the placent previa issue is May 12th. She will also have another doctor's appointment around that date. Pray for good results at the US, that the placenta has moved away from the cervix!!

No gestational diabetes!

YYEEEAAA!!! No anemia either (mommy didn't even realize they were testing for that). Yea again! Hopefully mommy will post some pictures soon, she sure is growing!

Doctor's Appointment

Mommy saw Shelli again today. Everything looked and sounded great!!! My heartrate was 142 and mommy had her belly measured for the first time! Mommy gained 9 pounds. Her total is up to 15 pounds. Not bad, especially compared to my sister's pregnancy! Mommy had to take the glucose test (drink some sugary stuff and give blood) to test for gestational diabetes. I sure hope she doesn't have it, she sure does love carbs and would be very cranky without them! :)

Her next appointment is April 20th. At that time we'll find out when the 32 week ultrasound to check her placenta and cervix will be. Mommy is very anxious for that appointment.
